Secondary Safety Research Action Plan
Within APSN, the Workpackage 2 on Strategy, Policy & Legislation
led by TRL and by INRETS (as
EEVC Chairman) aims at the integration of the activities of the
major stakeholders in automotive passive safety (industry, researchers,
consumers and regulators), avoiding duplication of effort and
controversy when new safety measures are introduced, whether through
technology, legislation or other means.
Its main activity was the writing of the PSN Roadmap for future research in the field of passive safety, establishing an achievable
vision for passive safety in 5, 10 and 20 years time.

This document aims to provide the basis for the
future of passive safety research, comments are welcome.
Recently an addition to this strategic document was published, called the Secondary Safety Research Action Plan (SSRAP)
