Projects Supported by PSN

As a Network of Excellence, one of the APSN activities is to develop links with other related projects and networks. In this context, APSN would like to highlight the following initiatives:

EURO-NCAP
Participated in our 3rd Annual Conference as speaker (represented by EC).
EURO-NCAP provides motoring consumers with assessments of cars safety performance.

EUCAR
To support the achievement of the highest efficiency, effectiveness and economy in R&D performance, the major European automakers have joined their efforts in the European Council for Automotive R&D – EUCAR.

SARAC
Participated in our 3rd Annual Conference as speaker.
Safety Rating Advisory Committee.

USCAR
Participated in our 3rd Annual Conference as speaker.
USCAR is the umbrella organisation of DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors, which was formed in 1992 to further strengthen the technology base of the domestic auto industry through co-operative, pre-competitive research.

TRAINSAFE
Link developed between the two networks.
TRAINSAFE is aiming at pooling Knowledge to Promote Rail Safety.

FURORE
PSN as provider of passive safety information for FURORE
Future Road Vehicle Research (FURORE) Network’s main task is to create a new Automotive R&D Technology Road Map looking up to 2020 and beyond. FURORE Road Map should be available autumn 2003 and was presented on the occasion of the 9th EAEC conference in 18 June 2003.

HELISAFE
HeliSafe™ is a Research project in the 5th Framework Programme of the European Commission. The objective of the project is to improve the survivability of occupants. A technical fiche can be donwloaded here on this project.
