Research Projects
To stimulate technology transfer: One way for
the network to enhance technology transfers between his members
is to stimulate its members to initiate RTD projects to develop
the future safety technologies together.
To promote the interests of the passive vehicle safety
community: The Network is following the developments
of the European
Commission Framework Programmes to initiate future activities
for its members. Two new proposals were created in the new 6th
Framework Programme of the European Commission: today, APSN is
running and the Integrated Project on Advanced Protective Systems

To identify and tackle "white spots": APSN
is clustering research projects and is continuously initiating
new RTD projects in the field of passive safety.
