User Groups
The integration activities through User/Application groups are
taking plce within the workpackage 5 of APSN led by CIDAUT
abd co-led by TU Berlin. The workpackage
5 general objectives are:
- Identification and specification of user needs
regarding traffic safety by analysing different user & application
groups.
- Provision of a market preview, which will
be used for the formulation of the NoE’s future strategy
and structure.
- Ensure that research in the field of passive safety
is well disseminated to European industry and service
providers, and generating at the same time the essential feedback
from these communities to identify and ensure optimum research
goals and integrated programmes.
On the user groups level, user specific integration objectives
and corresponding tasks have been defined in order to lower specific
barriers that cause fragmentation. In general the activities are
directed at:
- the identification and priority listing of user needs &
technology requirements,
- the stock-taking of technologies & project results suitable
for joint exploitation, and synergetic analysis, e.g. transfer
of “design” methodologies between user groups and
from the automotive area to trains and vice versa.
