APSN members’ expertise varies from vehicle, body parts and restraint system manufacturers, computer modelling and softwares companies to international research and educational organisations like universities, crash testing and biomechanical research institutes.

The Network counts more than 50 different organisations from about 20 different countries.

As of April 2006 the APSN Network is no longer accepting new partners. The reason for this is that the EC funded Network ends in April 2008. Following the objective of the Network to establish a permanent organisation, the activities the Network will be continued in the permanent structure: the Virtual Institute.

Consequently at this point in time, we suggest new parties with an interest in the field of passive safety to keep them informed on the progress of the Virtual Institute. Also, interested organisations can apply for an associate membership. For the application procedure, as well as information on the Virtual institute, please contact Ms Carolien Buter.
